In the morning, we went to El Mirador which is a popular outlook area. This mountainside destination provides panoramic views of the city. It is on the southeast side of our B&B, we had walked through beautiful alleys to get to this spot. These alleys are beautiful and are the typical alleys/streets of San Miguel de Allende. The view at El Mirador is breathtaking. We had many photos there.
Then, we had a private chocolate tour to take us enjoying several chocolate shops with treats of chocolate, chocolate deserts and chocolate drinks. The guide is an American who moved here many years ago and provided a lot of info about San Miguel de Allende. One things he told us that the water in San Miguel de Allende is safe for use which did give some comfort levels for staying in San Miguel de Allende. The places he took us included Johfrej Chocolate Cafe, Desayunos, Cafe de la Parroquia, El Petit Four, and Cafe Umaran. The final stop was an ice cream street stand near Centro Cultural Ignacio Ramírez El Nigromante. He told us that food stands are regulated, their food are safe and meeting all health requirements. We trusted what he told us and had ice cream from this ice cream stand. Even Fei and Tony had some (and we did not have any issues afterwards).
After the tour, we went to Sala de Murales Siqueiros where it provides images and a history of the work that Mexican muralist David Alfaro Siqueiros produced in several countries. It includes a biography, a bibliography on Siqueiros, and a chronology of his murals.
Then, we walked by the Parque Benito Juárez to get back to our B&B. Jeff had arranged for Benjy and Lucy to play tennis at a clay tennis court. Fei, Tony and Jennifer wandering a little more. Then Fei and Tony went back to the B&B and Jennifer did more shopping in town.
